Georgia Presidential Preference Primary scheduled for March 1

ATLANTA – Georgia voters looking to cast their ballots in the 2016 Presidential Primaries will be able to do so the first of March.

Once again, Georgia will be among the 15 American states and territories who cast votes during the Super Tuesday primary election. Candidates will first brave primaries and caucuses in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina before courting voters in the Georgia, Alabama, Colorado and more.

The deadline to register to vote in the March 1 primary is Feb. 1. Georgia residents can register to vote online at the Secretary of State’s website.

The window to mail in absentee ballots opened Tuesday.
