Woman stabs Mother when Argument turns Violent

CRAWFORDVILLE — An argument between a woman and her mother escalated into violence, as the woman stabbed her mother multiple times.

Deborah Lynn Sterling, 39 of Crawfordville, has been arrested for attempted first degree murder.  The incident occurred Tuesday at a residence on South Springwood Blvd. in Crawfordville in the afternoon.

Donetta Sterling, 62, the suspect’s mother, had been stabbed multiple times in her neck.  Deputies arriving on the scene found evidence of a physical struggle and blood throughout the residence.

Two juveniles were in the house as the fight ensued, according to reports from WCTV and the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office.  One of them had to hit the suspect over the head to get her off of the victim.

The victim is in stable condition at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital according to the report.

The knife used in the attack has still not been found.
