Two Dead, Two Wounded in Tallahassee Restaurant Shooting

TALLAHASSEE — Reports state two victims are dead and others wounded as a result of a shooting at a Tallahassee restaurant.

WCTV is reporting the shooting occurred early Wednesday, just past midnight, at the El Patron Grill and Cantina on Apalachee Parkway, according to Tallhassee Police.

One person was shot and killed inside the restaurant with two other victims shot and injured in the parking lot after the shooting continued outside in the parking lot.  One of those injured later died at a local hospital.

One of the victims of the shooting was also a suspect in the incident.  A Tallahassee Police Officer working off-duty security at the restaurant, shot the suspect who later died.

WCTV’s report states the incident occurred as a result of one patron bumping into another, though police have not confirmed a motive.

The report states other victims may have been involved and treated for non-life threatening injuries.  The identities of victims or suspects has not been released as of this report.

The police officer working security, who shot one of the suspects, has been place on administrative leave as a standard procedure after a fatal shooting incident.
