SGANP Annual Charity Event sponsors Homeless Youth

VALDOSTA — The South Georgia Association of Nurse Practitioners donated $1000 check and tons of coats to Lowndes County Schools Homeless children at their annual give back event on December 1, 2015 at Mom and Dad’s Restaurant.

Special thanks to Nurse Practitioner Sarah Comparto of Valdosta Medical Clinic for organizing the coat drive for homeless and needy children in Lowndes County.

Brandy McCrary, Nurse Practictioner and President of the SGANP states, “it’s an honor for our organization to continue to give back to our community and needs”. These donations will be used for Christmas needs, clothes, blankets, and food for homeless families.

Homeless Case Manager, Tan Jones and Sandra Wilcher accepted the donations on behalf of Lowndes County School system. Situations that result in families becoming homeless consist of foreclosure to domestic violence. Families never imagine being in a homeless situation and are very thankful for any support offered.
