Bainbridge Man Killed in Accident

MIDWAY, FLORIDA — An accident on Interstate 10 early Monday morning took the life of a Bainbridge man and has another in critical condition.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported in a WCTV story that the accident occurred around 3:30 a.m Monday morning near the Exit 192 interchange.

The report stated Cal Crombie, 20 of Tallahassee, was heading east in the westbound lane of the highway when he collided head-on with Kyle Rufus Joshual Duke, 43 of Bainbridge.

The impact of the accident hurled Duke’s vehicle end-over-end landing on its roof.  Duke’s vehicle was then hit by another vehicle.

Duke was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.

Crombie was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and was last reported to be in critical condition.

The passengers of the vehicle who struck Duke’s vehicle the second time it was hit were treated for minor injuries. They are from St. Cloud, Florida.

The report also noted charges are still pending further investigation.  It was stated authorities did not believe alcohol as a contributing factor in the incident.
