Valdosta Police announce Narcotics Arrests

VALDOSTA — Valdosta Police made two narcotics-related arrests on Thursday in separate incidents.

The first report states that Narcotics Detectives followed up on a tip of narcotics sales in the 900 block of Wilson Avenue.

Through an undercover operation, they made contact with Donald Andrews, 19, Antwan Williams, 21, and Kievon Hondley, 21, at 911 Wilson Avenue. Detectives quickly observed narcotics in plain view at the residence. Inside, detectives located 69.9 grams of high grade marijuana, 2.7 grams of Alpha-PVP (Flakka), and various tools that are consistent with narcotics use, as well as sales.

All three were arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office. Andrews was charged with possession of marijuana with intent, possession of Alpha-PVP with intent, possession of tools, and the use of a communication facility to facilitate a narcotics transaction. Williams was charged with possession of marijuana with intent. Hondley was charged with possession of marijuana. A total of approximately $1,678 worth of illegal narcotics was taken off the street.

The second incident occurred later Thursday afternoon.  Narcotics Detectives followed up on a tip in reference to reports of narcotics being sold at a 200 block of West Cranford Avenue address.

Detectives made contact with Jarvis Cooper, 21, at apartment D6. During the investigation, detectives recovered 22.9 grams of high grade marijuana valued at approximately $458. Cooper was arrested for possession of marijuana and he was transported to the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.
