Thunderbirds to Perform at Moody on Saturday

VALDOSTA — As part of Saturday’s Moody Air Force Base Open House and Air Show, the Air Force will present a performance by the Thunderbirds.

As the Air Force’s elite aerial demonstration team, the Thunderbirds before incredible acrobatics to showcase the capabilities of the Air Force and the pride shown by its Airmen.

According to a report, this will be the team’s last road show of the year before returning home to Nellis AFB.  They last performed at Moody in 2012.

In addition to the Thunderbirds, the show will feature demonstrations from various current and past aircraft.

Gates will open Saturday for the event at 9:00 am with the first aerial acts scheduled for 10:30 that morning.  The Thunderbirds performance is scheduled for 3:00 pm.

Visitors are asked to use the North Gate for an escort to parking, unless in possession of a military ID.
