Moody Airman Dies

VALDOSTA – A United States Airforce Airman stationed at Moody Air Force Base died Wednesday.

The Air Force released a statement that an Airman assigned to the 723d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron was pronounced dead at South Georgia Medical Center today at 8:52 a.m. after suffering from “medical complications”.

The name of the deceased is being withheld until 24 hours after the next of kin have been notified.

“Our most heartfelt condolences go out to the family of this Airman,” said Col. Thomas Kunkel, 23d Wing commander. “The loss of one of our Airmen is a loss to all of us, and our thoughts are with the Airman’s grieving family during this difficult time.”
