BREMEN — The small community of Bremen mourned the loss of two teenage girls killed in a highway accident Saturday.

Kylie Hope Lindsey, 17, and Isabella Alise Chincilla, 16, were killed when the Nissan Sentra in which they were riding collided with a Georgia State Patrol cruiser.  The driver and another passenger, both males, survived the crash and were taken to Grady Hospital in Atlanta for treatment.

The accident occurred late Saturday night in Carroll County.

CBS46 in Atlanta reports the South Paulding High students left their fellow classmates in shock.

“I’m really upset, honestly,” Jessica Pagliarulo, a close friend of Lindsey, told CBS46. “This whole situation is just devastating. It really makes me feel sick.”

Trooper Anthony J. Scott was involved in the accident.  The report states he was not on an emergency call at the time of the accident.  Scott was taken to a Carrollton hospital where he was treated and released.

The accident remains under investigation.  Preliminary investigations show the Nissan turned into the path of the patrol car.
