OCALA — Authorities say a teenaged girl has died and five others were injured in a spray of gunfire in the parking lot of an Ocala nightclub.

Marion County sheriff’s officials said someone drove through a crowd of people outside Cloud 9 early Sunday morning and opened fire. Authorities said Benetria Robinson, 19, died at the scene.

Five others were taken to the hospital. Police say three of the victims are in serious but stable condition and two received non-life-threatening injuries. Their names are not being released for their protection.

Authorities estimate 1,000 people gathered at the crime scene after the shooting.
