Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspect

CAMILLLA — No suspect has been located related to the armed robbery of a Camilla convenience store Monday night.

Video surveillance released by Camilla Police shows a man walking into the Kangaroo Express at 301 Highway 19 South in Camilla with a large knife.

According to a published report, a store clerk told police the man put the knife to her throat and told her “give me the money or I’ll kill you.”

The man then forced the clerk behind the store counter.  She then opened the cash register allowing the suspect to remove cash and flee the store.

Camilla Police describe the suspect as a black male between 5’8″ and 5’10” tall, wearing black pants and a black t-shirt with a white long sleeved t-shirt underneath.

The suspect was also wearing a black skullcap and a white cloth covered his face.
