VALDOSTA — Lowndes School Superintendant Wes Taylor, as a part of the Georgia High School Association Reclassification Committee, voted against the new classification system.

Monday the committee voted to move forward with a new system beginning in 2016-17. He was one of 10 members to oppose the idea against 47 others who supported it.

Tuesday morning, he sat down with The Morning Drive with Chris Beckham to discuss in detail what the changes could mean for Lowndes County, Valdosta and the rest of the state’s high school athletics programs.
