Crisp County House Fire under Investigation

CORDELE — Authorities are investigating an overnight house fire in Crisp County.

WALB is reporting that crews were called to respond to a house fire early Thursday morning at the 1900 block of Sheppard Drive.

According to reports, heavy flames and smoke were already pouring from the building’s roof when firefighters arrived on the scene.

In all, eight fire trucks were involved in fighting the blaze.  Fortunately, no one was home at the time.  However, the home is a total loss.

At question is the cause of the fire.
