CAIRO — The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian.

Tuesday night, Aaron Joseph Lee, 32, was struck and killed on Highway 84 in Grady County, near Pierce Chapel Road.  The incident occurred about 10:00 PM.

WALB is reporting that when troopers arrived, a Ford Escort driven by Laketha Davis had stopped.  She told troopers, according to the report, that she saw another car hit Lee first, causing Lee to strike her car. Davis’ car was then forced into a ditch.

Davis and the four other passengers in her car were not injured.

Troopers say it’s possible that another two vehicles were involved.  The incident is still under investigation.

No charges are being filed against Davis at this time.  No information was given as to why Lee was in the road.
