VALDOSTA — Lowndes County Deputies’ search results in arrests releated to methamphetamine production.

Thursday evening investigators with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, Special Operations Division conducted a search of a Holloway Street home. During the search, investigators located an active methamphetamine lab and the ingredients and materials used to manufacture methamphetamine.

The resident of the home, Joseph Seago, 37, was arrested as was Dustin Teeter, 17, who was present in the house and possessed methamphetamine.

Sheriff Prine stressed these labs can be extremely harmful due to the chemicals used to produce the drugs and the chemical reactions that are possible as a result of the manufacturing process.  The methamphetamine lab was dismantled and properly sealed in containers by investigators who have been specially trained in the handling of such hazardous materials and possess the specialized suits and equipment to handle these labs.

Seago and Teeter were taken to the Lowndes County Jail. Both will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court today where a bond will be considered.

Sheriff Prine is asking anyone with information on these two people or has information on any suspicious or drug activity to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office at {229} 671-2950 or anonymous tips can be provided at {229} 671-2985 or on line at
