MADISON — A Madison County man is charged with murder after a fatal shooting Sunday.

The Madison Police Department says they were dispatched to 251 SW Safari Drive around 11 p.m. Sunday and found that Demetrius Arnold, 25, had been shot multiple times.

Arnold was transported to the Madison County Memorial Hospital Emergency Room where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say Jimmy Lee Davis Jr., 39, shot Arnold after a verbal argument broke out between the two men.

Authorities found Davis at a relatives house hiding in the attic. He was taken to custody and charged with first degree murder.
