Lowndes High School Agriculture Department Recognized

VALDOSTA — The teachers of agricultural education from Lowndes High School were recently recognized for having the most student involvement in the southern region of Georgia. The recognition occurred at the Georgia Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association Summer Conference held at the Jekyll Island Convention Center on July 5th to 8th.

The award occurred during the South Region Teacher’s Meeting at the Conference. The Department of Education staff presented the LHS agriculture teachers an award of a homemade carrot cake baked by South Region Agricultural Education Supervisor, Dr. Lynn Barber. The LHS agricultural education department was recognized for a high level of student involvement in FFA activities such as FFA Camp, State and National Conventions, technical skill career development events, leadership skill career development events, and more. Quinton Hadsock, Micheal Barnes, and James Corbett are the agriculture teachers at LHS.
