Deal Calls for Planned Parenthood State Review

| July 18, 2015

ATLANTA — Governor Nathan Deal has ordered a state review of Planned Parenthood clinics after a recent video made shocking revelations that the organization may be selling fetal organs and body parts.

As noted in a press release from Governor’s office, the Governor wants to ensure that such acts are not occurring in Georgia.

“Gov. Nathan Deal is committed to protecting life at all stages,” said the release. “Particularly the most vulnerable and defenseless among us.”

As of today, he has ordered the Department of Community Health and the Department of Public Health to conduct a joint review of Georgia clinics owned and operated by Planned Parenthood Southeast.

Governor Deal joins the ranks of Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Gregg Abbott of Texas by ordering an investigation into the pro-choice organization.
