Sylvester > Police Catch Darton Robbery Suspects after Chase

SYLVESTER – Dougherty County police stopped vehicle and arrested three people in Worth County, just outside of Sylvester, for an armed robbery at Darton College in Albany.

WALB is reporting that Sylvester Police and Worth County Sheriff’s Office were called to assist Dougherty County Police in the pursuit . Darton College Police also arrived later to take custody of the three suspects, according to the WALB report and Lieutenant Ken Washington of Sylvester Police Department.

Washington said in the report that a call came into the Worth County 911 Center, in reference to a white Buick Century heading into Sylvester.  A Dougherty County Police officer was following the vehicle, and requested assistance from Worth County deputies and Sylvester Police.

He said there were three armed subjects, two males and one female in this vehicle, and that the vehicle was related to a robbery at Darton College.

Dougherty County Police finally stopped the vehicle heading east on Highway 82 at Silver Lake Circle just outside of the city limits of Sylvester.

All three suspects were taken into custody.
