MOULTRIE – Moultrie Police are searching for a gunman who fired shots at a nightclub.

Officers were actually on duty at the 50 Yard Line Bar and Grill when as people were leaving following a fight there Saturday night when they heard gunfire in the parking lot.

Officers did arrest a couple of people on drug charges and one person for illegal gun possession, but it wasn’t the gun that was fired.

“Officers went to investigate and subsequently made some arrest on some unrelated charges. However we are investigating the discharge of that weapon or the source of that discharge,” said Dep. Chief Rob Rodriguez.

Police interviewed witnesses and continue to investigate.
