Drowning Victim’s Body Found

LAKE BLACKSHEAR — A possible drowning victim’s body has been located in Lake Blackshear on Saturday.

Search crews located the body in Crisp County.

The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office reports the body of Deshrick Howard, 28 of Sylvester, was recovered Saturday afternoon. They believe Howard went past the posted swimming area, and when he was attempting to return to shore and went under, drowning.

Crews from the Department of Natural Resources and the Lee County Dive Team provided the recovery efforts.
