Blakely > Woman Charged with Murdering Husband

BLAKELY — An Early County woman has been charged with murder in the death of her husband Saturday night.

Delphine Wimbush, 41 of Blakely, has been charged with one count of murder related to the death of her husband.

Reports state that Early County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call at 9:00 Saturday night  at 1013 North Main Street in Blakely.

The call was about a man bleeding. They found Latarvous Lee, 27 of Blakely, dead at the scene with apparent stab wounds.

Authorities took his wife, Wimbush, into custody.  She was last reported as being held in the Early County Jail, awaiting a bond hearing.

Early Co. Sheriff’s Capt. Will Caudill told WALB that the investigation is ongoing, and they ask anyone with information concerning this case to call the Sheriff’s Office Investigative Division at (229)723-3158.  Georgia Bureau of Investigation Region 15 Field Office is assisting in the investigation.
