Albany > Bike Fest Deputies Convicted

ALBANY — Charges by 2012 Bike Fest participant Aaron Parrish that he had been beaten by sheriff’s deputies have led to convictions at Federal Court in Albany.

A Federal jury has convicted Decatur County Sheriff’s Captain Liz Croley of violating the constitutional rights of Aaron Parrish.  In addition, Croley was also convicted of making false entries.

Decatur County Deputies Chris Kines and Wade Umbach have also been convicted of tampering with a witness.  However, both were found NOT guilty on charges of making false entries.

Former Grady County Sheriff’s Deputy Wiley Griffin, IV was found not guilty of violating the constitutional rights of Aaron Parrish.
