VALDOSTA — Valdosta High School held its first annual International Food Festival on Thursday, April 30th for faculty, staff and students. Students were asked to bring dishes from various countries for this delicious cultural experience to honor our International students, and bring awareness of cuisine from around the globe.

Local businesses including Empanadas and More, Passage to India, Ichiban, Mina’s Asian Market, Thai Chiang, and China Wok II all supported this event with the donation of food. Event coordinator and International Baccalaureate teacher, Rob Grimes, said of the event, “This was an opportunity for our students to commune with one another and other cultures through the medium of food, a truly international language.”
