VALDOSTA — Valdosta Police Department officials responded to reports of a burglary in progress on Wednesday.

Around 3:05 p.m. officers found Elphonso Moore inside of a home on 2512 Muscogee Drive. The owner of the home, Patreace Brinson reported that Moore was the previous homeowner and did not have permission to be inside of her house.

Moore had moved out in March and had somehow gained access back into the house. Brinson told police she had changed all of the locks and that he was not on the lease. It is unknown how Moore was able to get inside of the home because he would not answer any questions.

The police report stated that Moore was “uncooperative with the officers as he struggled with them.” Moore was taken to¬†Lowndes County Jail.
