Orlando > Woman Nearly Drowns at Disney Water Park

ORLANDO — Paramedics responded to a woman’s near-drowning at Walt Disney World’s Typhoon Lagoon water park on Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.

The Orlando Sentinel reported the incident was responded to by paramedics who transported the woman to Florida Hospital Celebration Health, an emergency services spokesman said.

Bo Jones, assistant chief at Reedy Creek Emergency Services, told the Sentinel that paramedics responded to a call from the water park concerning a woman in her mid-40s, at about 3:45 pm.

She was stable when she arrived at Celebration’s hospital, Jones said.

There was no other information about the woman available from authorities on Sunday.
