FITZGERALD — Ben Hill County Sheriff’s office reported that a 3-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool on Sunday.

Around 1:45 p.m., Kaiden Sanders was found in the bottom of an above ground swimming pool on 114 Ostrich Lane.

The report stated that a female named Amanda Cooper was inside the house when she noticed Sanders in the pool.

Sanders father and another man pulled the child out of the pool a little too late and he passed away at Dorminy Medical Center.

Help me out here a bit will ya please Chip. The category is “Local News” and the website is VALDOSTA today, yet all the stories are from other cities. Now what?

    • Chip Harp says:

First, thank you for reading. Next, please understand that even though the name of the site is Valdosta Today, we are by no means limited to covering Local News (as in just Valdosta). We have a regional audience and cover much of South Georgia as “Local”. We also carry State News from both Florida and Georgia, as well as local and regional sports. In fact, we try to present coverage on everything but national and international news. Our goal is to provide a solid source of information, news, opinion, sports and business from across the region and our two states.

Local means Valdosta. Regional is not Valdosta. Can’t be the same. But what else should one expect from a right wing website that is stuck in the nineties?
