Albany > APD Officer Resigns After Students Found Sexual Photos of Him

| May 2, 2015

ALBANY — Albany Police Department Officer Robert Ausby resigned on April 17 after breaking three city conduct codes.

Ausby posted two photos of himself performing sexual acts on social media. The photos were then found by Dougherty High School students on Ausby’s Vine account.

The Dougherty County School System Police Department contacted the Albany Police Department after a teacher confiscated a student’s phone with the images on it.

Although Ausby did not commit any crimes, he did break three city conduct codes.

The Dougherty County School System would like the public to know that the photos were found by the students and that they were not sent to them.
