Valdosta > Second Man Arrested In VSU Robbery

VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University Campus Police arrested a second man for the robbery of a student on March 19, at the University Recreation Center.

The robber, 19-year-old Kelvin Wright was arrested for robbing a female student and taking her cell phone. Wright was arrested around 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 31 on the 4000 block of Sheffield Place.

The first man arrested, 20-year-old Lekendry Roberts was arrested directly after the robbery and charged with driving the getaway car without a license.

Campus Police used the surveillance videos outside of the recreation center to make the two arrests.

The phone has yet to be recovered and the investigation is ongoing at this point.
