VALDOSTA — A man was arrested for robbing another man at gunpoint on Sunday.

The man, Travis Lavert Eberhart robbed his friend, 24-year-old Kelly McCarthy around 4:00 a.m. on 2503 Churchill Drive. McCarthy was walking out to his car to get something, when Eberhart took his wallet and ran.

Police found Eberhart a block away and arrested him. Officials also pulled over a vehicle leaving the scene, one of the people inside of the vehicle was arrested. The other people inside of the vehicle were not arrested, but are being investigated.

The wallet was found and returned to McCarthy.

Eberhart received charges of aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
