Valdosta > Man Arrested After Being Shot At on Troup Street

VALDOSTA — Valdosta Police Department officials responded to reports of a dispute on 725 N. Troup Street.

The report claimed that someone in a white truck was firing a shotgun at a man driving north on Troup Street around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Upon arrival officers found the truck abandoned at 904 Stillwater Drive. The shotgun was recovered in a trash can at the residence.

The victim, Marcus Morgan and his passenger, Kimberly Carter were not injured during the shooting.

Morgan gave the police a false statement and was arrested and charged with two counts of Terrorist Threats for a separate incident.

Police are searching for the driver of the pick up truck and the shooting is still under investigation.
