Valdosta > City Flags at Half-Staff Today

VALDOSTA — The City of Valdosta will comply with the Executive Order issued by Governor Deal to fly flags at half-staff on Friday, April 24, 2015, in honor of the five students who lost their lives in Wednesday’s tragic automobile accident in Ellabelle, Ga, the two students who were seriously injured, and as a mark of respect for those affected by this tragedy.

Therefore, flags on all city buildings will be flown at half-staff today until sunset.

    What you’re missing is respect and sensitivity toward a community and families who have suffered a great loss, five young people destined for a career in caring for the health of others. What would the world miss out on if your life was suddenly snuffed out? How would it impact your surrounding area?
