Marietta > Cobb Schools Plan Massive Hiring Fair

MARIETTA — The Cobb County School District announced it will hold a major hiring fair for teachers next week.

For the first time in 8 years the District plans to recruit as many as “several hundred” new teachers, according to a report in the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Principals from all schools will be organizing interviews during the hiring fair, to be held April 15th at McEachern High School.

The school district is the county’s largest employer, with more than 13,500 employees working with more than 111,000 students. ┬áThe report stated that more than half of Cobb’s current teaching staff hold advanced degrees, with about 100 holding National Board Certifications.
