Nashville > House Fire Claims Life, Injures 2

NASHVILLE — A house fire in Nashville took the life of one person and left two others injured.

State fire officials are investigating the fire which took the life of Johnny Edward Holton, 69, on Friday night. Injured was William Bohanan, 19, and Dakota Garvette, 10.  Reports stated both were flown to Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida to be treated for burns to their arms and hands.

State officials stated the house was a total loss.  Investigators believe, at this time, the fire started in the family room near an electric space heater in the single-story wood frame house.  However, that is currently a preliminary conclusion pending the full investigation.
