Milledgeville > Merger with Baldwin County Moves Closer

| February 21, 2015

MILLEDGEVILLE — State lawmakers approved a consolidated government bill that would merge the city of Milledgeville with Baldwin County.

Though opposed by some in local government, the move is meant to signal a fresh approach to leadership, after recent ethics investigations of some of the city’s officials.

Ultimately, it will be the citizens of both the city and county who will make the decision through a November ballot.
