MADISON — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has released information related to the capture of an armed fugitive near Greenville on Thursday.

Donald Keith Ware, 46 of Manatee County, was located at a residence on 766 York Avenue in Greenville.  He was reported to be accompanied by two other individuals.  The Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office regarding Ware and his location.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, converged on the location.  The other individuals left the house when prompted by law enforcement, claiming they were not aware Ware was a fugitive or criminal.

Leon County’s Hostage Negotiation and Tactical Team then worked to get Ware to surrender on his own.  The team then took measures to remove Ware about 1:00 am Friday morning.  No injuries were reported.
