LOWNDES — On Valentine’s Day, members of the Lowndes Middle School Sources of Strength club, along with advisors Alicia Reaves and Quita Jones, surprised the 60 senior citizen residents at the Ashley House with blankets and roses. It was a great way to give back on a such a loving day!!

Sources of Strength was implemented in all three Lowndes County middle schools this year through a $40,000 grant from The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. The grant provides each school with services, support, and training for middle school teachers and counselors and also helped to begin a Sources of strength Club in each school.
