HAHIRA — A man was arrested in Hahira while attempting to steal items from a local resident’s garage. Lowndes County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 32-year-old Johnathan Clint Boyd at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 on the 1800 block of Bird Hall Road.

According to the police report, Boyd was caught and told to leave by the homeowner. The homeowner alerted his neighbor and called the police.

The police arrested and charged Boyd with Burglary and Criminal Trespass. He is now being held at Lowndes County Jail with a bond of $15,000.

The police report also stated Sheriff Prine said, “The action of these citizens certainly made the arrest of Boyd much quicker and easier.”
