Valdosta > Bicyclist Hit By Vehicle On West Hill Avenue

VALDOSTA — On Jan. 20, at 6:30 p.m. bicyclist, 52-year-old Silvery Walker was hit trying to cross West Hill Avenue near Ray Lane. The driver of the vehicle that hit Walker tried to avoid running into him but failed to do so.

Walker suffered minor injuries from the accident and was treated at South Georgia Medical Center. However, his bicycle took a beating and has heavy damage.

Walker received a citation for Bicycling on a Roadway and the driver of the car received no charges.

    Bicycling on a Roadway, I’d like to know more about that law. Are my kids not in compliance when they ride down the road?
