VALDOSTA — Valdosta Police arrested Brandon Williams, 25, who is accused of trying to run down a police officer with his moped.  The incident occured on Forestwood Drive in Valdosta. He was jailed and charged with aggravated assault on a Police Officer.

MOULTRIE — It has been two and one half years since Gina Thompson, 46, was indicted for the murder of Johnny Crawford, 54, in June of 2012 at their Highway 319 residence in Colquitt County. According to reports, Crawford was shot multiple times. Thompson originally told law enforcement officers that a break-in had taken place and Crawford was shot by robbers. However, investigators did not believe that story. Thompson was indicted on felony murder charges.

VALDOSTA — Lowndes County Commissioner Demarcus Marshall will hold a Community Town Hall Meeting Monday, December 15th at 6:00 p.m. at the Lowndes County Civic Center on Highway 84 East.
