Family Charged With Armed Robberies Of Delivery Drivers

VALDOSTA — On Dec. 17, Brandon Spargo, 22, Malinda Spargo, 19, and Austin Spargo, 20, were arrested for two armed robberies against delivery drivers. The Valdosta Police Department Investigations Bureau questioned the three after finding a BB gun, which officials think was used to threaten the drivers.

The first incident occurred on Dec. 9, on Wilson Avenue at 9:50 pm. Kyle Deegan, a Papa John’s delivery driver reported being held at gunpoint by a white male. The offender took the food, Deegan’s wallet, which contained $30 in cash, and then ran.

The second incident occurred on Dec. 14, at the Commons Apartment Complex at 8:30 pm. Austin Prease, a Go Waiter delivery driver was making a delivery to the apartment when he was held at gunpoint by a white male. Once again, the offender took the food, Prease’s wallet, which contained $25 in cash, and then ran.

The next day, Dec. 15, the three Spargo family members were charged with Felony Shoplifting from the Wal-Mart on Inner Perimeter Road.
