MOULTRIE — Colquitt Regional Medical Center, in Moultrie, is nearing completion on a new medical building.

Patients and guests can expect a new front entrance, main lobby, and new emergency department.  The improvements also include new Intensive Care Unit suites, new surgical suites, and new labor and delivery suites.

The changes are an enhancement, not only to the medical center, but the community as well.

Emily Watson, of the Medical Center, told WCTV, “We had so many big business partners that came on board. We had new founders that came on board. People that work 25-dollar checks and people that wrote 100,000-dollar checks. We’re just so excited and appreciated of the support that this community gave to building the new Colquitt regional.”

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place Thursday at 11:30am in the new medical center’s lobby.
