2 Killed, 3 Injured in Americus Shooting

AMERICUS — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, Americus Police, and Georgia State Patrol surrounded and cordoned off an Americus home Monday night after a shooting left 2 dead and 3 others injured.

The incident at the home, located at 100 Price Street, occurred around midnight.  Those killed were 2 men, according to the Sumter County Corner in published reports.  The other 3 shot were taken to the Phoebe Sumter hospital for treatment.  At this time, no other information is available but we will keep you posted.  The GBI is leading the investigation.
