Softball Coach Facing Child Porn Charges

MARIETTA — A girls softball coach in Cobb County has been arrested by federal agents related to charges of child pornography.

WSB in Atlanta filed a report that Nicholas Mazza of Powder Springs was arrested and is facing charges as a result of a US Department of Homeland Security monitoring effort. ┬áThe “peer-to-peer” computer monitoring network discovered a large number of child porn downloads to an IP address belonging to the defendant.

The WSB report stated Mazza had coached softball teams around the country for more than a decade.

The report also stated that Mazza admitted to investigators that he viewed and saved child pornography for about 10 years, further he preferred girls around the age of 10.
