Deadly Crash on Colquitt County Road

COLQUITT COUNTY — Thanksgiving was marred by a deadly crash at the Colquitt County, Mitchell County line Thursday.

Georgia State Patrol reports that around 3 a.m. Thursday a single vehicle veered off of Georgia Highway 37 and slammed into a tree, killing one person and injuring another.

The man and woman inside of the vehicle were airlifted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where one of the victims was pronounced dead.

As of this report, GSP has not released the names of the two involved. No word on the condition of the injured.

There have been at least three total deadly crashes on Georgia roadways this holiday traveling period.
