Valdosta Drug Arrest

VALDOSTA — The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office has put another drug dealer behind bars.

On Wednesday, investigators from the Special Operations Division of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at 827 East Brookwood Place, Valdosta as part of an ongoing investigation.

The service of this warrant resulted in the recovery of approximately 3.3 grams of cocaine, valued slightly over $400, scales and bags used for weighing and packaging narcotics and a handgun that had been previously reported stolen in a 2009 burglary.

The tenant of the home, James Edward Howard was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail. Howard will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court for an arraignment hearing this afternoon where a bond will be considered.
