Carrollton Attorney Arrested on Forgery, Theft Charges

Gavel-LawsCARROLLTON — Carrollton attorney Robert B. Eddleman was arrested and charged by the Carroll County Sheriff’s office with forgery and theft by taking.

Eddleman had been converting funds from a trust account for his own personal use, according to reports from Carroll County Sheriff Lt. Jeff Richards in a report to WSB.  Investigators are still looking for additional victims.

The investigation, led by the Sheriff’s Office and Georgia Bureau of Investigation, had produced more than one victim already, with more expected to surface.  Eddleman is accused of filing false documents and diverting funds from the firm’s trust account.
