A Valdosta man that was shot and wounded on September 10th has died. 38 year old Xavier Jones was wounded multiple times by shooter Amos Haynes during an altercation on Ray Lane as he worked to rehab a home. New charges will now be filed against Amos Haynes who is being held in the Lowndes County Jail.

PEANUT SALMONELLA TRIAL CONTINUES

The fact that nine people died as the result of eating Salmonella tainted peanut butter shipped from Peanut Corporation of America in Baxley will not be a part of jury deliberations. The fates of former owner Stewart Parnell and two co-defendants are in the hands of a jury as deliberations continue since last Friday. The three defendants are charged with knowingly shipping the contaminated peanuts and covering up the reports with false lab test results.

QUITMAN 10+2 TRIAL ENDS NOT GUILTY

Lula Smart on of the alleged voter fraud defendants in Brooks County has been exonerated on all counts. According to the report after three trials involving the member of the Quitman 10 plus 2 the case of Lula Smart is now over.
