Sewer Main Rehabilitation on Linda, Howellbrook and Roosevelt Drives

| September 15, 2014

valdosta-aerial+logoAs part of city’s ongoing sanitary sewer system improvement program, The City of Valdosta will rehabilitate a total of 2,600 feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer mains on Linda, Howellbrook and Roosevelt Drives, beginning Wednesday, Sept. 17. This sewer main rehabilitation project is part of the city’s extensive and ongoing sanitary sewer system improvement program.

Given the method of rehabilitation, no road or surface excavations will be required. The contractor will instead gain access to the sewer mains via existing manholes and use an advanced pipe-lining technology to rehabilitate the mains.

The rehabilitation project is expected to be completed within 30 days. Traffic control devices and adequate traffic signage will be in place to alert motorists of the work zone and any necessary traffic lane shifts. As always, motorists are urged to drive with caution and follow the traffic warning signs for their safety and the safety of others.

For more information, call the City of Valdosta Utilities Department at (229) 259-3592. For an update on the city’s ongoing sanitary sewer system improvement program, visit www.valdostacity.com/utilities.
