TIFTON – Students at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will welcome family and friends to their campus on Oct. 3-5 during the college’s fifth annual Family Weekend. Dean of Students Bernice Hughes said that early arrivals will receive a special treat.
Check-in for families will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Oct. 3 in Tift Hall on the front of campus where name tags and goodies will be provided. Families staying in designated hotels can also check in during this time.
For early attendees on Oct. 3, the Fillies’ softball team will take on the Canadian Futures Team in two scrimmages at noon and 2 p.m. at Fillies Field. The ABAC Stallions’ baseball team will also scrimmage Thomas University at 3 p.m. at Stallion Field.
To attend ABAC Family Weekend there is a fee of $15 for ABAC students and $25 per person for family and friends. This price covers two meals on Oct. 4, admission to the Georgia Museum of Agriculture, a t-shirt, insulated mug and light refreshments.
